I was given this short story for my honest review. Although short this story took me on a journey. A journey of love, pain and sorrow. From the first page I could not put it down. I read it non stop until I finished I did not know it was a short story until it ended. This story stole my breath I was sitting on the very edge about to fall over. I have never seen so much power in so little space the author really out did herself on this story. And the ending will make you want to throw the book but instead do as I did and reach for The Core book two. This is a wonderful story
The Core

The Core grabbed me by the seat of my pants from the first few pages. There are 3 new charters added as well as jealousies between the two teen girls and the two teen boys. Oh yes and there is love and challenge of that love,adventure, danger and capture. But who gets captured you'll have to read it. Come and take this journey into the future with J.M. She promise you a breathtaking trip to places unknow and action unseen before as well as love and the challenge of keeping it. The cliff hanger is only second best to the first book. Now I am grabbing book 3
Ransom 3rd part of The Diamond Mini Series.
Once again this new Aurthor has out done herself on this series. Someone has been kidnaped. Who and was it a real kidnapping or an inside job? Hum!! Have to read the book. Come and take an adventure with Jenny Marie as she unfolds her story about the possible future. About Scientist, teens, small children and survivable. Will the Core give them the peace they need to survive? Will there be happiness and love ever after. I can not wait for you to see how the story unfolds. After all you have come this far on the journey with J.M. I can not wait to see what this new Author lays out in front of us. I know I am hooked and will read whatever she writes. One day, about a year ago, I was in need of a good book when I came across the first book in this series. I started reading the book and finished it so fast, I had to get the second and third part that same day. This is such an amazing series that you, like me, will not be able to put down the book.
The story was very interesting and fantastic. It is about four children named Diamond, Obsidian, Mica, and Kelvin and how their life was turned upside down. Diamond and Obsidian have been friends since they were kids, and their siblings and parents are best friends as well. Diamond and Obsidian's (Sid) parents all work at the geological institute and have built a structure under-ground in case of emergencies. They went through drills to prepare if they ever had to stay in the shelter, but nothing prepared them when their parents left them there, alone. Now trying to survive Diamond and Sid must take care of their siblings and make sure they are safe and hidden. But sometimes, plans can fall through and you need to rely on other's to help you survive.
If you are looking for a good series to read, get this one. It is both interesting and entertaining. Trust me, this series is so unique, you will be hooked after finishing them!
The TDMS Collection consists of Under Ground, The Core, and Ransom which were originally sold separately but now are available in the collection and you even save money. D
All I can say is I absolutely love this series! It takes you on a wild roller coaster of emotions. I laughed, cried, worried, and my heart broke. Waiting for each book in the series seemed eternal. I am so glad author J. M. Zuniga made it available in this collection where you can read it in one sitting. I can't wait to see what happens next! Did I mention you will fall in love with the characters? Because you will! I recommend this book!
The Diamond Miniseries (Book 1) by J.M. Zuniga is comprised of three short stores. This collection drew me in from the beginning of the first story, "Underground". The second short story, "The Core", as well as the third, "Ransom" each picked up where the last left off. My only critique is that I wish they were longer stories!
I fear that by telling you anymore about these stories I will give big pieces away, so I am going end by letting you know that it is a great YA/Dystopian collection )
This mini series was choc-a-block full of dystopia, suspense (boy oh boy, the suspense!), heartbreak, friendship & even a smackering of romance.
The characters were easy to love, and the villains, of course, easy to despise.
Each book was short, but full of action and not a dull moment. There was times I was holding my breath wondering what punches Ms Zuniga was going to pull next.
I read the 3 in 1 book (174pages) in a matter of a couple of hours because I couldn't put it down. It held my attention the whole way through & I couldn't wait to see what would happen next.
Anxiously waiting for more Diamond, Sid, Mica, Gypsum, Azure & Rhyo! Will keep keeping watch for more in the series.
Recommended to everyone that loves a good YA novel full of everything there is to love about the genre. For all ages, a very clean, engrossing, and well written mini series...Well done Ms Zuniga!
